Interviewers will probe what you claimed
The tailored CV and cover letter set expectations. Strong interviews sound like a deeper version of that same document — not a different career story.
Build STAR stories from your top bullets
Pick five bullets that map to the job’s must-haves. For each, write Situation, Task, Action, and Result in plain language you can say aloud in under two minutes.
Include one story about conflict or failure. Interviewers often ask for it, and rehearsing honesty beats improvising under pressure.
Anticipate gap questions
If the posting asked for a tool you used lightly, prepare an honest answer: adjacent experience, how you ramp, and a concrete learning plan. Do not pretend mastery you cannot demonstrate in a technical screen.
Reuse the same brief for prep assets
When you optimize a CV in LuminousCV, interview prep prompts are generated from the same role context. Use them as a starting list, then replace generic prompts with your real metrics and stakeholders.
Before the call, re-read the exact PDF you submitted. Your spoken examples should match the dates, titles, and outcomes on that file.
Put this into practice
Upload your CV and paste a job description to generate a tailored, ATS-safe draft you can edit before you apply.
